Max Sinclair

Max Sinclair has been a part of Wall Street for the last twenty five years. He’s worked in New York City between 1998 and 2006 both at Merrill Lynch and UBS, rising from a rookie stock broker to a successful money manager. In 2006 he founded a US Treasury hedge fund and ran it for the next ten years. During the Great Financial Crisis his fund won Best Fixed Income Emerging Manager of the Year, a miracle in and of itself. That award was bestowed upon him during the worst financial disaster since the Crash of 1929. He's been able to survive the Russian Default, the dot com crash, 9/11, The Great Financial Crisis, and COVID, navigating each investment period and witnessing the worst and best in the financial industry. Now, only three years away from retirement, he’s embarked on a mission to bring his readers fictionalized characters drawn from experience and telling stories that will keep his fans on the edge of their seats. His main goal is to entertain readers and provide them with valuable insights into the dark side of Wall Street.

Max began writing when he got stuck in Madrid during the height of the pandemic (65 days to be more exact, between March and May of 2020.) His son suggested he begin writing an autobiography, otherwise Max was going to lose his mind since he was far from his beloved wife and his four children. He made his son a deal where if his son edited the work, it would be a go! After forty short stories, Eduardo, the son in question made the second and most valuable suggestion: read On Writing by Stephen King which Max read not once but five times. Then he took masterclasses with James Patterson, Dan Brown, and Neil Gaiman. That's when he began writing Undisclosed Location, a story about a hedge fund manager accused of insider trading which is now published and available on Amazon. the book was written on location in the Bahamas, Miami, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. At the moment he is finishing his second thriller which will be released in November.

His favorite authors are Stephen King, James Patterson, Dan Brown, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, and Neil Gaiman.

He spends most of his days crunching numbers and writing thrillers. The rest of the time he’s exploring mountains and enjoying the seven seas. Well, except for the arctic seas. That’s too cold for his blood. His dog, Flora, is his best friend.
