Zen Cho recommends
The Angel at the Gates (2026)
Karen Lord
"Karen Lord packs a huge amount into this powerful novel about war and the weight of the past, written with her trademark warmth, elegance, and insight. At once intimate and expansive, The Angel at the Gates asks the enduring question of whether humanity can ever transcend its instinct for violence, or if we are forever bound to repeat history."
Lady Eve's Last Con (2024)
Rebecca Fraimow
"Ingenious, heart-warming and hilarious, Lady Eve's Last Con is the sparkling sapphic space caper romcom of my dreams."
The Book of Love (2024)
Kelly Link
"Pure enchantment - a tale of love, death, magic and teenagers being teenagers, rich with fairy strangeness and told in sentences like jewels strung on a chain."
