Suzy K Quinn

Suzy K Quinn writes the Bob and Shirley cozy mysteries and has sold over one million books worldwide. She's a bestseller in the US, UK and Germany, and she grew up opposite a pub, which probably explains a lot.

She spent much of her childhood in pubs (it was the eighties, and a packet of crisps in the beer garden counted as childcare). Later she worked in them, which is where she learned that the pub quiz is the most dangerous hour of the week.

Now she lives in Wivenhoe, Essex, which has more pubs per head than any village in the area. Writing about a pub landlord and landlady was always going to happen.

Bob and Shirley run the Goose and Gander in Great Oakley, a Suffolk village where the pie slices are bigger than the plate and the landlord corrects your grammar while pulling your pint. Bob and Shirley also solve murders.

Despite all this, Suzy doesn't actually drink much. She's also fully decaffeinated, which makes her the cheapest customer in any pub (Bob would approve). She does love a pub lunch on the river, though.Suzy lives with her husband and two daughters. She is a twin, and her sister Cate Quinn is also a bestselling author. When she isn't writing, she's walking in the woods dictating like a lunatic.
