I S Berry recommends

The Most Dangerous Man (2026)
Jack Murphy
"What a sizzling read. Equal parts lancing social commentary and heart-pounding thriller, The Most Dangerous Man is a story only a sniper-turned-journalist could write. Filled with ripped-from-the-headlines villains and effortlessly authentic action scenes, it's as much a tale of good versus evil, a Ranger versus his predators, as it is a story of past versus future and what our world will look like. Wits and bullets are dually potent weapons on Murphy's pages, and the end result is something fresh, unique, and supremely satisfying."

Octagon (2026)
C J Merritt
"A timely tale of the dangers of extremism lying just beneath the surface, of the dark web and cults of personality, Octagon will enthrall, grip, and spook you in equal measure. Will have you turning pages at breakneck speed. A top-shelf spy thriller from someone who knows his stuff."

The Silver Fish (2026)
Connor Martin
"What an impressive debut. Set in the teeming streets of Ghana, Martin's intricate tale plumbs the depths of personal discovery, betrayal, and justice. Colorful characters, a gritty setting, high international stakes, and a healthy dose of deception - what more could one ask for in a spy novel? From the first page to the shocking ending, Martin's twists and turns through today's complex geopolitical landscape deliver in spades."
