Chris was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts. He attended St. John's Preparatory High School in Danvers, went to college at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. After graduating from UNH, he enrolled in the master's program at Boston's Northeastern University to study technical writing. In addition to his fiction writing commitments, Chris has taught creative writing at Harvard University.
