Margaraet Mizushima enjoys writing in the contemporary mystery/suspense and historical genres. After earning a master's degree in speech pathology, she practiced in a hospital and in her own rehabilitation agency. Now, she uses her experience in communication disorders, business, and her husband's veterinary practice as fodder for her fiction and has received contest awards and short story publication. She likes reading and hiking, and she lives on a small ranch in northern Colorado where she and her husband raised two daughters and a multitude of animals.
