Jinx

Kit Powell, San Diego's newest television sports reporter, unexpectedly lands smack in the dangerous middle of a pro-football mystery of murderous proportions. The Sharks team has just moved to San Diego from Galveston, but the jink that plagued them in Texas seems to have followed them to sunny southern California. Is it just bad luck, or is there a reason why career-ending injuries, losing seasons, and mysterious deaths have become regular occurrences with the Sharks? Kit becomes suspicious of the so-called Sharks jinx, and sets out to investigate. Soon there's a murderer threatening to end her life, newsroom rivals bent on sabotaging her career, and Kit is hard-pressed to overcome her own run of bad luck. To do so, she will have to uncover the source of the Sharks "jinx."
