Since the publication of her first book in 1969, Alanna Knight has written novels (including the successful Inspector Faro series), works of non-fiction, numerous short stories and two plays. Born and educated in Tyneside she now lives in Edinburgh where the Inspector Faro and Rose McQuinn mysteries are set. She is a founding member of the Scottish Association of Writers and Convener of the Scottish Chapter of the Crime Writers' Association.
