Timothy Hallinan recommends

The Fairfax Incident (2018)
(Charlie Doherty, book 3)
Terrence McCauley
"A total knockout. A slam-bang mystery and a story that just won't quit. You will not put it down."

Scot Free (2018)
(Last Ditch Mystery, book 1)
Catriona McPherson
"The only times I stopped turning the pages were when I was laughing so hard it took both hands just to hold the book. McPherson is an ace plotter, a vivid, original stylist, and great company. A great beginning to a new series."

A Deadly Affair at Bobtail Ridge (2015)
(Samuel Craddock Mysteries, book 4)
Terry Shames
"I love Samuel Craddock . I love this town, and I love this series of books."

The Death of the Mantis (2011)
(Detective Kubu, book 3)
Michael Stanley
"The best book yet in one of the best series going."

Sick (2011)
(Project Eden , book 1)
Brett Battles
"SICK is Brett Battles at his best, a thriller that also chills, with a secret at its core that's almost too scary to be contained within the covers of a book."
