Will Dean grew up in the East Midlands, living in nine different villages before the age of eighteen. After studying Law at LSE, and working many varied jobs in London, he settled in rural Sweden with his wife. He built a wooden house in a boggy forest clearing and it’s from this base that he compulsively reads and writes.

Will Dean recommends
The Last Murder at the End of the World (2024)
Stuart Turton
"An extraordinary novel. Midsommar meets Station Eleven meets The Mist meets a fresh post-apocalyptic murder mystery. Audacious and utterly mind-blowing. Stu Turton is one of the most inventive writers working today."
The Mountain King (2024)
(Asker, book 1)
Anders De La Motte
"THE MOUNTAIN KING is Nordic crime fiction at its best : addictive, eerie and hauntingly atmospheric (fans of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will devour it). Leonore Asker, and the wonderfully named 'Department of Lost Souls', are fascinating and unpredictable. This is the new series you need in your life. EXCEPTIONAL."
Okay Days (2023)
Jenny Mustard
"As fresh as a spring morning. Naoise Dolan vibes. Witty, observant, stylish, tender, sharp, and delightful."
